AR Rahman's daughter, Khatija Rahman, has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding her father's film career through social media. Following reports in the Kollywood media about Rahman taking a break from music after recently ending his marriage, many music enthusiasts have expressed their concerns online.
Khatija previously responded to these rumours on the 'X' platform, stating that they are untrue. However, the rumours persist, prompting her to make another appeal on Instagram, asking, "Please stop spreading falsehoods." She criticised a media outlet that claimed to have reliable sources for the information.
It is well-known that Rahman publicly announced his separation from his wife, Saira Banu, on social media, which subsequently sparked numerous speculations. Coincidentally, on the same day he revealed his divorce, a member of his team also announced her separation, intensifying public interest. Khatija has since responded to the claims that Rahman is planning to take a year off from films to heal from this personal upheaval.
Currently, Rahman is working on the music for the Telugu film #RC16 (working title), starring Ram Charan, with Buchi Babu as the director and Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine.
